Solar Cable AS NZS 5000 XLPO PVC-AT

Our photovoltaic (PV) cables are used for interconnecting photovoltaic solar panel arrays in solar energy farms. These solar panel cables are suitable for fixed installations, both internal and external, and in open environments or in conduits.

The compounds have zero halogen, low smoke properties and are ultra violet ray as well as ozone resistant.

These cables can last for over 25 years. What’s more, these can offer the rodent-resistance feature and are available in a range of options: copper, copper-coated aluminium or 8000 series aluminium.

Rodent and termite-resistant cables are made with the nylon-12 layer between two layers of XLPO. Depents on application twin solar cables can also be offered.

Solar Cable Application

These pv cables are suitable for permanent outdoor long-term use, under variable and harsh climate conditions. They are designed and tested to operate at a normal maximum conductor temperature of 90°C and for 20,000 hours up to 120°C. Therefore, the expected period use is 30 years under normal usage conditions

PV Cables Design

Solar 1.5kV DC cables are designed and manufactured to EN 50618, IEC 62930, AS/NZS 5000.1 and other relevant standards.

Conductor – Flexible Electrolytic Tinned Class 5 Copper to EN 60228 or IEC 60228

Insulation – Crosslinked Halogen Free & Flame Retardant Insulation, Colour: Red or Black

Outer Sheath – Crosslinked Halogen Free & Flame Retardant UV and ozone resistant Sheath in Black or Black with Red Strips

Termite Protection: Nylon jacket termite protection can be offered for cables susceptible to attack from rodents and termites.

5kV DC feeder cables can also be offered with X-90 Insulation and HDPE or PVC over sheath upon request.

ApplicationThese cables are used for interconnecting solar panels, combiner boxes and inverters in dry or damp conditions as well as in harsh environments exposed to ultraviolet sunlight radiation.
These can be installed in open trays and in ducts or conduits.
