FRLS CABLE, LSZH CABLE
Cu(Al)/XLPE/CTS(STA)/PVC
Application:
Low smoke zero Halogen cable used in public and government buildings and where there is sensitive electronic equipment (i.e. Hospitals, Supermarkets, Airports, Control Rooms & Computer Suites) these cables are designed for increased safety in the case of a fire:Reduction in hazardous fumes which can cause injury when inhaled; Reduction in corrosive chemicals which can cause damage to electronics; Most cables used in installations have been insulated with PVC or similar materials.XLPE Insulated halogen-free low smoke cable may prevent human from being suffocated by toxic gas generated from accidental burning of wire and cable.Such as fire-resistant flame-retardant cable, do not catch fire easily and do not spread the fire or give off toxic gas when on fire. They are suitable for using in the circumstance with fairly strict flame retardant and environmental protection requirement, such as high-rise buildings, hospitals, subways and shopping malls.
Property:
1) The temperature of laying cable is not lower than 0°C.
2) Max. continuous normal operating Temperature: 90°C
3) Max. permissible temperature at short circuit (5s. at longest): 250°C.
4) Permissible bending radius:
Single core: ≥20(d+D)±5%.
Three-core:≥15(d+D)±5%
(D is the actual overall diameter of cable, and d is the actual overall diameter of conductor).
LSZH Cables intended to fulfil this type of function are often labelled as one of the following:
LSZH - Low Smoke Zero Halogen
LSOH - Low Smoke Zero Halogen
LSF - Low Smoke and Fume
OHLS - Zero Halogen Low Smoke
Both LSZH and LSF are used to limit smoke, fumes and halogen given off in fire conditions.
Construction:
Conductor | Solid, Stranded Copper or Aluminum |
Insulation | XLPE |
Amouring | 1)Non-armoued 2)Steel tape armoured (STA) 3)Steel wire armoured(SWA) Aluminum wire armoured(AWA) |
Sheath | LSZH material |
Application:
Fire resistant flame retardant cable sheaths are design to resist combustion and limit the propagation of flames.it is suitable for power transmission and distribution line with rated voltage 300/500V, 450/750V, 0.6/1kV.Due to relative low cost, fire retardant cables are widely used as fire survival cables.Fire resistant cables are often used to maintain circuit integrity of those vital life safety systems such as fire alarm and suppression services.
Property:
Fire resistant cables are designed to maintain circuit integrity of those vital emergency services during the fire. The individual conductors are wrapped with a layer of fire resisting mica/glass tape which prevents phase to phase and phase to earth contact even after the insulation has been burnt away. The fire resistant cables exhibit same performance even under fire with water spray or mechanical shock situation.
Fire Rated Cables:
1.Flame Retardant - designed for use in fire situations where the spread of flames along a cable route needs to be retarded.
2.Fire Resistant (FR) - cables are designed to maintain circuit integrity of those vital emergency services during the fire.
3.Low Smoke and Fume (LSF) - burns with very little smoke and fumes compared to standard PVC, fumes may contain halogens.
4.Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) cable - when burns there is very little smoke and fumes (compared to standard PVC the fumes contain no halogens.
5.Alternative names for LSZH - LSZO (Low Smoke Zero Halogen), 0HLS (Zero Halogen Low Smoke), LSHF (Low Smoke Halogen Free).
Construction:
Conductor | Class 1 solid or class 2 stranded copper conductor according to BS EN 60228 |
Separator | Mica/glass fire barrier tape |
Insulation | LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) or XLPE |
Protective Conductor | Tinned copper, full size CPC |
Bedding | LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) |
Screen | AL/PET (Aluminum/Polyester Tape) |
Armour | SWA (Steel Wire Armor), STA (Steel Tape Armor) |
Sheath | LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) or HOFR (Heat and Oil Resistant and Flame Retardant) to BS7655 or Heat resistant XLPE |
Sheath Color | Red, white, black |
Operating Temperature | -25°C to +90°C |
Flame Retardant Cables
The flame retardant cable is mainly featured in low liability of fire or that second combustion is only limited to a certain range, meets the IEC 60332 combustion testing requirements, it can be categorized into category A, B, C and D. Flame retardant cable highly recommended to use on the places with flame retardant requirement like oil and gas mining. Flame retardant can be applied to the cable group as follows :
Cable Type | LV Cable | MV Cable | HV Cable | Control Cable | Instrument Cable |
