Two main type of LV-ABC system

LV-ABC line with insulated neutral messenger wire system consisits of 3 insulated aluminum alloy phase conductors and 1 insulated aluminium alloy neutral messenger. The 3 insulated phase conductors hold the same mechanical strength and cross section while the insulated neutral conductro holds higher mechnical strength. When straining the line, only the insulated neutral conductor is loaded as the suspension unit. Additional 1 or 2 insulated aluminum conductors with cross sections of 16mm2 or 25mm2 may be applied as pilot wire or for street lighting.

The self-supporting system consists of 4 insulated aluminium alloyconductors. The 4 insulated conductors hold the same mechanical strength and cross section. When straining the line, all 4 conductors are allocated to share the pulling force identically. Additional 1 or 2 insulated aluminium conductors with cross sections of 16 mm² or 25mm² may be applied as pilot wire or for street lighting.
