Triplex Aluminum 8000 Series Conductor 600V URD

Aluminum 8000 Series 600V URD cable is designed for use in secondary distribution circuits, where installed in duct or direct burial applications,  where increased flexibility is needed. The conductors are rated Type RHH/RHW-2 or USE-2. Maximum operating temperature is not to exceed 90°C in wet and dry locations. Voltage rating is 600 volts. As an option, this cable can be provided pre-pulled into duct.

Triplex Aluminum 8000 Series Conductor 600V URD CONDUCTORS:

• Compact bare AA-8000 series aluminum alloy, Class B stranded per ASTM

Triplex Aluminum 8000 Series Conductor 600V URD INSULATION:

• Phase Conductors - Black sunlight resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLP) insulation

• Neutral Conductors – Black XLP with 3 extruded yellow stripes

ASSEMBLY:

Two phase conductors and the neutral are cabled together, with surface printing for identification. 

The neutral conductor has a yellow stripe and sequential footage markings.

Triplex Aluminum 8000 Series Conductor 600V URD SPECIFICATIONS: 

Triplex Type RHH or RHW-2 or USE-2 600 volt cable meets or exceeds the following applicable standards/specifications:

ASTM B800 8000 Series Aluminum Alloy Wire for Electrical Purposes 

• ASTM B801 Compressed Conductors of 8000 Series Aluminum Alloy for Subsequent Covering or Insulations

 • ASTM B901 Compressed Round Stranded Aluminum Conductors Using Single Input Wire Construction 

• ICEA S-105-682 for cross-linked polyethylene insulated conductors, UL 44 for type RHW-2, and UL 854 for Type USE-2.
